Monsoon Day
The monsoon day is celebrated to help the child understand and relate to the different changes that take place in the season The child becomes aware of the clothes we wear, food we eat and also how rainfall is caused. Child learns to enjoy nature and appreciate it.
Puppet Show
This is conducted by the teachers where a story is narrated. This helps the child to imagine and buildup creativity. Learning becomes enjoyable and fun and the visual medium makes the concepts clear and permanent.
Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti
Celebration of these national days stimulates patriotism in the young minds. Speeches, songs and fancy dress events are conducted.
Festivals
Festival celebrations bring a holistic development in the child as he acquires knowledge about the festival. He participates and actively uses his skills in the preparation and celebration.This forms the base for cultural values and respect for all religions. We celebrate festivals like Raksha Bandhan, Gokulashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Holi, Navratri, Diwali and Christmas to promote unity.
GK Quiz
This is held every year on different occasions to enhance the students general awareness and presence of mind and has become an integral part of the curriculum.
Sports Day
This is celebrated every year to inculcate values of sportsman spirit, team work and discipline. Usually it is theme based wherein the games and races supplement classroom learning. Displays such as yoga, karate and drill are held.
Annual Day/ Parents Day/ Exhibitions
This special day provides a platform to exhibit their talent, enhance their communication skills and overcome stage fear. Again this is generally theme based comprising songs, dances, drama, presentation and role plays.
